Most people are not comfortable in front of a camera, and nearly all of it comes down to not knowing what to do with themselves. That is not your problem to solve. That is the job.
yourothereye is Joshua Gray, shooting around Houston. Events are the work I want most of. Parties, sets, pop-ups, anything with a room full of people in it. Portraits and solo shoots too, but events are where I am trying to be.
Shooting with me is straight to the point. Simple poses, snap, keep moving. No long production, no standing around waiting on lights, no pretending it is harder than it is. You show up, you get directed, and you leave with photos you can post.
Everything is shot and edited by me, back to you in 3 to 5 days. Serving Houston and surrounding areas, plus travel anywhere for a flat fee.

We talk through the look, the outfits, and where to shoot. Bring references if you have them, or start from scratch together.

Show up and get directed. No awkward standing around wondering what to do with your hands. That part is handled.

Get your set
Fully edited photos back in 5 to 7 days, sized for print and for posting. Yours to use anywhere.

How do I book a shoot?
Two ways. Pick an open slot straight from the calendar on the booking page and the date is yours right away, or text me your date and idea and you get a reply within 24 hours with an exact total. Events and anything outside Houston go through a text so the hours and travel can be worked out first.
When do I pay?
On the day of the shoot. Nothing is charged to book, and there is no card or deposit taken on this site. Asking about a date costs nothing either.
How long until I get my photos?
Three to five days for most shoots. If you need something sooner for a post or a deadline, say so when you book and it can usually be worked out.
What do you need from me before the shoot?
An idea of what the shoot is for and what you want to wear. Reference photos help if you have them. If you have no idea yet, that is fine, that is what the planning conversation is for.
Do you travel outside Houston?
Yes. Travel outside the Houston area is a flat $200 on top of the shoot rate, anywhere. Text me the location and you will get an exact total back.
I have never done a real shoot before. Is that a problem?
No, and most people booking have not. You get told where to stand, what to do with your hands, and when it is working. Simple poses, straight to the point, no standing around wondering what happens next.
What happens if it rains or I need to reschedule?
Reschedule free up to 24 hours before the shoot and your slot moves with you. Weather calls get made together the morning of.
